Turning everyday sounds into shareable beats
Team coursework · Brand interaction concept · Webflow prototype
RingBeats is a participatory music concept responding to a Tuborg brief. It proposes using the Sound Ring as a QR entry point for capturing or selecting everyday sounds, shaping beats and sharing them with others.
My Contribution | Brand Concept & Experience Planning · Web Prototype · Storyboarding
The storyboard connects everyday stress, the Sound Ring, QR-based music creation and community sharing, using a consistent visual language and pacing to communicate the brand experience.
01
How might everyday noise become material for creating and sharing music?
Use the Sound Ring as a QR entry, inviting participants to capture or select sounds, shape beats, share their work and respond to others.
Proposed experience
Scan to open the web experience.
Record, upload or select a sound.
Remix and preview.
Name, save and share the track.
Listen and leave a sticker reaction.
Proposed extension: bringing participant-created beats into a shared DJ or festival experience.
02
I organised the web prototype into Play, Remix and Community, using anchor navigation to connect entry, creation and response.

Tracks and slider handles communicate how a sound could be adjusted and previewed.

Playback and sticker reactions offer a lightweight way to respond, without requiring a written comment.
Prototype scope: Webflow presents the navigation and interaction approach. Pre-generated AI music illustrates the intended output; live recording and real-time remixing were not fully implemented.
This project helped me translate a brand concept into participation steps, using a web prototype and storyboard to communicate one connected experience. Next, I would prioritise testing a working audio-creation flow, recording-privacy prompts and whether participants can understand and complete the main tasks.
